If you would like confidential support relating to Mental Health and many other issues, please drop into Advice and Guidance for someone to talk to, trained counsellors provide a confidential, supportive counselling service, with referral to outside agencies where appropriate.

- Tuesday 10am to 4pm
- Wednesday - 10am to 4pm
- Thursday - 10am to 7pm
- Friday - 10am to 4pm
The Counselling service is based in the Advice and Guidance service on A Floor.
To self-refer, please call in to book an assessment with Leah Murphy, or phone 01422 399367 and ask for one of the advisors, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, you can ask your tutor/progress coach/parent or carer to refer you in the same way.
The assessment usually takes about 20 minutes and if it shows that counselling will help you, you will be offered 6 sessions.
Each session lasts about an hour and takes place once a week. We try to fit this into your timetable so it doesn’t affect your learning.
There is usually a short waiting list for counselling but you will be seen as soon as is possible. For more specialist counselling/mental health services, we can help you to refer to other agencies if required.
