Wifi Certificate


Android Instructions

Step 1

Long press here -> Sonicwall Certificate (Save certificate to Downloads)

Step 2

Navigate to Settings -> Security

Select "Install from phone storage"

Browse to Internal Storage

And then to the Download folder.

Select the certificate you downloaded earlier (SonicWall_DPI-SSL_CA.cer)


Apple iOS Instructions

Step 1

Click here -> Sonicwall Certificate

Step 2

On the install profile screen click install

install profile

Step 3

On the warning screen select install


Step 4

Click "Done" on the Profile installed page

Now go to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings

Turn on the certificate you have just installed.

This completes the installation


Apple OS X Instructions

Download the certificate here.

Open Keychain Access. Start by clicking on Go in the Finder menu and the select Utilities.

In the Utilities window click on the icon named Keychain Access.

Go to the Keychain Access menu at the top and select File and then click on Import Items.

Another window will appear, browse to the certificate. When you have highlighted it, select the Destination Keychain from the drop down list and then click on the Open button.

Click on System in the left hand menu and find the certificate. Open it up and select always trust.

A new window will appear requesting for the password for the certificate to be entered. Input the password and then press OK.


Windows Instructions

  1. Right click and save the certificate here
  2. Find the certificate in your downloads and doubleclick it.
  3. Click on Install Certificate

  5. Select Place all certificates in the following store and click the Browse button

  6. Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click Okay

  7. Click Next and then  Finish

Chromebook Instructions

Download the certificate here.

  1. Open Chrome and type "chrome://settings" into the address bar. Press enter.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click on Advanced to show extra settings
  3. Scroll down to Manage certificates
  4. Click on the Authorities tab
  5. Click on Import and browse to the certificate's location.
  6. At the bottom you will see "Base 64-encoded ASCII, Single Cert". Click on the dropdown and select "All files"
  7. Select the certificate and click Open
  8. Check all three trust options
  9. Click OK


Firefox on Android

  • Click this link
  • Select Trust to identify websites
  • Select Trust to identify email users
  • Click OK
